Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before your move.
How far in advance should I contact Landing.Lab before my move?
We recommend reaching out at least 4–6 weeks before your planned arrival in Madrid. This allows us to secure housing, begin administrative processes (NIE, bank accounts), and research schools if needed. However, we also support clients who are already in Madrid and need help settling in.
Do you only work with expats, or also with Spanish nationals returning from abroad?
We work with anyone relocating to Madrid — international expats, digital nomads, returning Spanish nationals, and families from any background. Our services are tailored to each client's specific situation and needs.
What areas of Madrid do you typically recommend for families?
It depends on your priorities — schools, commute, lifestyle, and budget. We provide personalised neighbourhood guidance based on a detailed briefing. Popular family-friendly areas include Chamberí, Salamanca, Retiro, Pozuelo de Alarcón, and La Moraleja, but we always recommend based on your unique profile.
Can you help with visa and residency paperwork?
We guide you through the process and coordinate with trusted immigration lawyers in our network. While we are not a law firm, we ensure you have the right legal support for NIE applications, residency permits, golden visas, and digital nomad visas.
What is included in each service package?
Our Essential package covers housing search, administrative set-up, banking, and city orientation. The Family package adds school research, family lifestyle integration, and spouse support. The Executive package includes everything plus professional networking, business community access, and ongoing concierge services. All packages include direct, senior-level attention.
Do you offer ongoing support after the initial relocation?
Yes. Our monthly concierge retainer (€350/month) provides continuous lifestyle management, personal recommendations, and on-demand assistance for anything you need as you settle into your new life in Madrid.
